Editing & Proofreading
Trim, shape, polish that document before the boss sees it.
There’s nothing quite like a second pair of eyes to help polish a document to perfection.
Even better if that second pair of eyes belongs to a trained writing and editing professional.
I’ve got a deep respect for style guides, can absorb brand styles and always have my copy of the New Oxford Style Manual at my side (as well as some editing software). If you already have your lead magnet, sustainability report, or website written, but need assistance knocking it into shape, let’s talk.
Types of editing and proofreading
There are different types of editing. The kind of editing that’s right for you depends on what your document is and what stage it is at.
Structural editing refers to restructuring and reordering a document, cutting out unnecessary sections and rewriting others.
Copyediting is the technical stage, reviewing the document’s style, readability, grammar and spelling.
Proofreading is done before the document is published. It’s the final check for any errors that may have slipped through the net, or for any strange things that may have happened during the design process (a missing page is surprisingly common).
